So you’ve found yourself in Columbus, Ohio and you are in need of a hotel that is fitting for the Capitol city of Ohio? Well, look no further because I have reviewed the top three hotels within this wonderful city for you to choose from. So no matter why you have found yourself within the limits of Columbus, you will find the information in this article useful for business travelers, leisure travelers, or families. So sit back, and read on to find your ideal hotel.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the Hyatt on Capitol Square. This hotel lies within the theater district of Columbus, Ohio. Due to the hotel’s location, which is adjacent to the state capitol, the hotel draws many visitors in town on government business. Conventioneers are also frequent guests, as the convention center is six blocks away. On weekends, hockey and football fans check in, as the Blue Jackets arena and Ohio State stadium are both within seven blocks of the hotel. One of the hotels amenities is the City Center Mall which houses 100 upscale shops. Next door, the restored Ohio Theatre is home to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and BalletMet. On site, the hotel offers a top-floor fitness center with views of the adjacent state capitol and a business center where secretarial support is available at a surcharge.

The second hotel in which I reviewed is The Westin Columbus. This four-star hotel is a historic splendor found downtown which is near all cultural and corporate centers. Once guests enter the soaring lobby which is designed in the European style, with Corinthian pilasters and a three-story atrium. The Westin hotel’s stained glass-windowed ballroom is a popular wedding venue, and wedding guests comprise much of its weekend clientele. During the week, business and leisure travelers fill the hotel. The Victorian-style historic hotel has 186 guestrooms with traditional, Queen Anne-style furnishings and wireless Internet access, which is available at a surcharge. All rooms feature Westin’s Heavenly Bed.

And the last hotel in which I reviewed is four-star The Blackwell. This eight-story hotel, on the Fisher College of Business campus of Ohio University, is five miles north of downtown Columbus. Complimentary airport transportation is provided for all guests. This hotel offers 151 guestrooms in an eight-story building. All rooms feature pillow-top mattresses, premium bedding, and custom-built furniture – including leather desk chairs. Executive work desks are supplied, as are multi-line phones with voice mail and data ports. Complimentary high-speed Internet access, and in-room safes that are large enough for laptops.
