The Florida Roller Coaster Rave

So you want to experience the thrill and excitement of the best roller coasters in Central Florida? Look no further, here they are:
First up is Kraken, located in Sea World, it is the only floorless roller coaster in Orlando. Did I mention it is also the tallest and fastest roller coaster in Orlando? It takes you to the height of a 15 story building at up to 65 miles per hour. There is nothing around you to grab onto except shoulder restraints, which come in rather handy while being upside down seven times throughout the ride. Kraken was named after a rather legendary sea monster, keeping in tune with the monstrous ride this roller coaster offers. So jump on and experience the fastest, tallest, and most spiraling ride in Sea World.

Next is the Incredible Hulk Coaster located in the Islands of Adventure park. This roller coaster is a 2 minute 15 second ride of rampage. The ride starts with a launch that reaches 40 miles per hour in an astonishing two seconds. You reach heights of 150 feet and top speeds of 67 miles per hour. If that’s not enough, how bout going through two subterranean trenches and being twisted and turned through seven inversions. All of this and the roar of the Hulk in the background are sure to leave you running for the line again and again.

It’s time for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. This coaster is located in Disney-MGM Studios and features the famous band Aerosmith. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is an indoor roller coaster that starts you off with a two minute pre-show where you are invited to see an Aerosmith concert. You are then taken to an alley where a “limo” awaits. You then ensue on a two and half minute ride that includes a launch from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds, music blasting from 120 speakers, up to five G’s of force, heights of up to 80 feet, three inversions, two loops, and one corkscrew. When it’s all over you find yourself at the concert and the gift shop.

Kumba is next and is located in Busch Gardens Tampa. This roller coaster entails an initial 135 foot drop, 7 inversions, speeds of up to 60 miles per hour, G-forces of up to 3.8, and a 114 foot tall loop all in 2 minutes and 54 seconds. To top it all off riders will feel 3 seconds of weightlessness during a 360 degree spiral on this ride meaning roar in the African Congo language.

Lastly is Triple Hurricane which is located in Cypress Gardens Amusement Park. Triple Hurricane is a wooden roller coaster that is 40 feet tall and reaches speeds of 32 miles an hour. While it is one of the smaller wooden roller coasters in the surrounding Florida area it is reminiscent of the older versions that gave you a thrill without making you lose your lunch. The Triple Hurricane even offers some history in the fact that it survived three hurricanes and thus derived its name.
