How to Relieve Asthma Symptoms with Household Items

Try drinking two cans of Coca-Cola, the caffeine in the soda can help slow down an asthma attack. The next household item containing caffeine is coffee. When you feel an asthma attack coming on you can also drink two cups of black coffee to stop an asthma attack and provide temporary relief to your airways.
To prevent asthma attacks while you sleep, cut open the sides of five or six Glad trash bags, wrap them around your pillow and mattress, don’t forget to take off your sheets and pillowcases first. Tape the trash bags to your mattress and pillow with Scotch tape. This will help to prevent asthmatic reactions to allergies that build up on your bed and pillow. To help relieve those congested lungs, try eating some Gold’s horseradish on a cracker or a celery stick. Another household item to help relieve your congestion is to take a teaspoon of Heinz apple cider vinegar. Taking this item can not only help to relieve your congestion but block a sudden asthma attack.
You can try a couple of hot and spicy household items to help relieve congestion in your lungs, sinuses, and nose. Mix ten to twenty drops of Tabasco pepper sauce in a glass of Campbell’s tomato juice and drink up. Drinking several glasses a day of this combination will help relieve asthmatic symptoms. This will also work even if you are not asthmatic but suffer from sinuses and hay fever that causes congestion. These two household items work very good to clear up any congested airways.
