It’s always exciting to find enticing new patterns for appliquÃ?© quilt projects. Here are some sites offering free patterns as well as resources, tips and information on appliquÃ?© quilting.

This organization describes its mission to promote, teach, and encourage the love of all types of appliquÃ?© quilting. They offer free downloadable appliquÃ?© patterns – rose, swan, Christmas dove, and Mr. Bunny.

The site also offers a newsletter every six weeks to members. Issues contain appliqu�© quilting information and notices of the latest happenings in the field, as well as two or more patterns. Other resource sections include Chapters, Artists, News, Links, Events, Lost quilts, Just appliqu�© (articles, questions etc.). Pattern packs are also available for sale and contain patterns from the previous newsletter.

This quilting site, where “tradition meets creativity”, offers some free downloadable appliquÃ?© patterns from the official Pickledish website of the Kansas City Star newspaper. The 12 vintage patterns, originating from the 1930s include designs such as Electric fan, Flying swallows, Shamrock, Gold bloom, Teapot, and Texas pointer. The Quilter by Design site has quilting class offerings, patterns, links, as well as quilts.
