Hotel Guide: Los Angeles, California
The first hotel in which I reviewed is The Ritz-Carlton, Huntington Hotel & Spa. This five-star historic hotel rests in the San Gabriel foothills. When a guests walks through the doors of this Ritz-Carlton, they are greeted by a dark-wood registration area, where the employees call the guests by their names. Guests eyes are quickly guided to the oil portraits, which hang over formal chairs and tables. Some of the amenities include a redwood-covered bridge that extends 232-feet over the pool area. Guests can also enjoy a sauna, steam room, fitness center, and relaxation rooms – all of this is available to every guest without charge. This hotel has 392 guestrooms, and all are designed in English garden-style dÃ?©cor with dark wood furnishings. Writing desks are set with complimentary stationery and magazines. All rooms come with CD-alarm clocks, full-length mirrors, and terry cloth robes. Also, high-speed Internet access is available in all rooms for a surcharge.
The second hotel in which I reviewed is the Raffles L’ermitage Beverly Hills. This five-star hotel is the traditional Beverly Hills chic, with a slight Asian touch. This hotel is located adjacent to DreamWorks and Virgin Records recording studios, so it is no wonder this hotel is a favorite among entertainment industry guests. Some of the amenities this hotel has to offer is the RafflesAmrita spa that specializes in facial and body treatments, salon services, fitness equipment, and steam rooms. There also an outdoor rooftop pool that rests on this eight-story hotel. Some other great amenities include free computer rentals and a DVD library. This hotel does have something that very few hotels actually do – a 24-hour check-in/check-out policy, very flexible. This hotel is comprised of 118 guestrooms, all of which are incredibly spacious and elegant. Every hotel room has Asian-inspired dÃ?©cor, along with entertainment centers with 40-inch T.V.’s, CD and DVD players, five multi-line telephones (including a cellular phone), complimentary high-speed Internet access, fax machine, remote-control-accessed temperature and lighting control systems. Also, small pets (including dogs under 40 pounds) are welcomed at the Raffles.
And the last hotel in which I reviewed is the four-star Hollywood Roosevelt. This hotel is a Hollywood landmark, which sets right on the Walk of Fame. When guests stay at this hotel, they are instantaneously ushered into Hollywood history. Some of the history that goes into this hotel includes the Academy Awards – the very first annual Academy Awards was held that this hotel. Some of the amenities that the hotel includes is the outdoor, hearted swimming pool with features an underwater mural by David Hockney. This Hollywood hotel has over 300 guestrooms, which comes with complimentary wireless Internet access, as well as dial-up. The rooms also feature voice mail, in-room safes, premium bedding, and for those modernists, every room is designed in the vain of “Minimalist dÃ?©cor.”
