Top Ten Blogs About Plus Size Fashion and BBW

A list of the top ten blogs devoted to plus size fashion, and issues faced by Big Beautiful Women (BBW). Check them out, subscribe, and help change your attitude for the better!
  1. Plus Size Clothing Scoop. Sassy fashion coverage and up-to-date news about dressing your best in plus size clothing. This blog covers new offerings from plus size clothing designers at even the more obscure plus size clothing stores like Igigi, Kiyona, and more. They also issue a newsletter called “Loving My Curves”. For news about coupons, sales and more, this plus size clothing blog is not to be missed.
  2. Deluxegrrl. This blog boasts that it seeks luxury for every lady, luxury for at every price. Deluxegrrl has great energy, great personality, and an eye for the finer things in life-she delves into not only plus size clothing options, but also plus size jewelry, plus size handbags, and plus size magazines. She has something to say, and her style can’t be beat.
  3. The Pretty Pear. A blog that discusses all aspects of a happy, stylish, plus size lifestyle, The Pretty Pear is upbeat and personal. Chatting away like your favorite girlfriend next-door, this blog is engaging and addictive. She talks through the hard stuff that plus size women face every day, and she does it with the right attitude. You end up cheering for her, and wanting to be like her.
  4. The Power of Plus. This blog is attached to the site of BBW Magazine: The Power of Plus and features “Sally Smith’s musings, reactions, and rants about topics of interest to the plus-size community.” Covering topics ranging from the Olympics to Goecaching, it’s not as focused as most BBW would wish it to be, but it does add some variety to the usual offerings for BBW.
  5. Plus Size Fashionista. Touted as a blog “created specifically to help plus size women find fabulous fashionable clothing, and accessories” it sticks closely to its mission. Short on commentary, the blog can often seem like one long advertisement for a few items that the author has chosen to feature (using pictures hopefully authorized by the sites selling the items).
  6. Plus Size World. This blog accompanies a website of resources for those who are living large. It covers health, fitness, plus size clothing, BBW dating, and other issues that BBW face. They say, “Our goal at Plus Size World is to provide our readers with the most comprehensive collection of plus size information that can be found anywhere on the Web.” They come close to doing just that, and because they cater both to plus size women and men, it’s a more general resource than some others. What it lacks in personality, it makes up for in the sheer volume of information it puts at your fingertips. No other plus size blog has a link to plus size doll making, for example!
  7. Full Figure Plus. With plus size clothing links for both full figured men and women, this blog is short on design savvy, but big in soul. It takes a more rounded approach, touting not just plus size fashion, but issues that concern plus size people as a whole.
  8. Big Fat Blog. Dedicated to size acceptance, this blog is an empowering, in-your-face community that often addresses plus size clothing and fashion and other issues of living in a world built for smaller people.
  9. Diva Boutique. Less of a blog with entertaining commentary and witty observations, and more of a dynamic advertising scheme, the Diva Boutique still offers plenty of useful links for women looking for plus size clothing and plus size fashion. But every now and then, the Diva Boutique comes out with a great nugget of an interview, like the one with Igigi’s designer Yuliya.
  10. Curvalicious and Living Large. My list wouldn’t be complete without adding my own blog, which focuses on plus size fashion, romance, and learning to love yourself as a BBW. Curvalicious and Living Large focuses on the whole BBW lifestyle, and encourages women to get it together and stop waiting to till they are thin to live a happy life. To that end, Curvalicious and Living Large tackles organizational challenges for Plus Size women, and offers a free clothing planner to boot.
