Arm Found in City Street Frightens Witnesses

Josh Fielding, 29 was going to work this morning when he heard the concentrated buzzing of many flies and detected the faint odor of rotten eggs. “It was horrible,” Josh commented. “I mean, I’ve smelt some pretty rotten things in my life, but this took the cake.” He followed the smell to a storm drain. The arm of a man chewed off at the shoulder was lying on the grating. Blood was spewed everywhere.

Fielding, assistant manager to a local Pizza Hut has a wife and a baby on the way. He is considering moving his family out of the neighborhood. “I thought this place was nice,” Fielding stated, “but now I can see this is just another American town I should be frightened to live in.”

Police were at the scene 30 minutes later. They blockaded the street. Sheriff Warren Peltz of the Miguel County Police Department had this to say, “Right now, I don’t know what happened but we may in fact be seeing the results of our encroachment.” He believes the attack was that of a large animal, presumably a bear or a wolf. “We can’t give you any further information until will we’ve run all the evidence through bolistics,” Peltz commented.

Police have yet to release the identity of the victim. Many speculate that it is a local resident, Thomas Crown who went missing late last night. With reports of disappearances increasing in Jefferson, Williams, and Henchaugh Counties, these crimes are becoming a statewide issue.
