Cars Takes Us Away From Everyday Life

Like with most movie previews, the audience wants to be swept away from the everyday hustle and bustle of everyday life. When it comes to animated movies it is even harder to escape through someone else’s imaginary world and forget that animals or anything that normally don’t have the capacity to speak. In the movie Cars, the editors and illustrators really were challenged.

The story starts with characters that are cars. These cars come to life with personalities of their own. Even though no one is behind the wheel, the vehicles venture into a race which is representing a car company.

They raced three races and on the way to the third race, one of the cars was sleeping in back of a semi truck dreaming. He hit the eject button while sleeping which thrusts him out of the semi truck and almost gets ran over.

The car starts showing emotional anxiety about trying to find his friend, scared, and he loses the transportation of the semi truck. Falsely following a wrong semi truck, he ends up in an abandoned town where he is successful in making friends.

More of the story includes the main race car competitive to win the Piston Cup and the title of a better company to represent. Along the way, the car gets lost; wrecks the town street making everyone angry, including the mayor.

The Mayor of the town directed him to repair the road and the car objects only to make matters worse. Instead of correcting the problem, he tries to run but fails because someone siphoned his gas while sleeping.

As the story goes along, he corrects his mistake and starts to make friends with a rusty repair truck named Maynard (played by Larry the Cable Guy).

There is even a love story that prevails toward the end of the movie where he meets a female car and fall in love.

The ending is that the Mayor of the town contacts the cars main crew that he had lost along the way and finding him, they take him back with them to race. Not wanting to leave; the car leaves to race; loses the race after blowing a tire. The car became a hero when he pushed the crashed car over the finish line which cost him the race.

Because of his heroic attempt the company offered to represent him but reluctantly turned them down. His thoughts were back at the abandoned town where his friends and his love await his arrival.

The car not only was heroic pushing the car to the finish line and giving up his title, but he found an abandoned road to help bring other people back to the town and help restore the abandoned town to flourish once more.

The car not only demonstrated courage, anxiety, bravery, and most important the meaning of friendship and love. With the graphics were displayed great showing the emotions; making the characters seem real.
