The Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World created something special when they first opened the Contemporary Resort back in 1971. Walt Disney World’s monorail service goes right through the lobby of this famed deluxe resort. Special structures were created so that noise and vibration is kept to a minimum.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort offers a unique A-shaped design. With white sandy beaches and two separate pools there is plenty of water filled activities for everyone. There is even a fun twisting water slide if you dare! If you prefer something more low key and relaxing there is a hot tub for your pleasure. Feeling daring, boats are close by for rental at the marina.

For the children there is a playground area and an arcade. The magic is abundant at this resort at you can see Magic Kingdom nearby. This is a resort that offers an all encompassing magical experience.

Concierge service is available and staff is welcoming and friendly. Some levels include a free continental breakfast, snacks and wine and cheese tasting in the evening. Inquire about the different services available when making your reservations.

Room prices start at $249 and are priced accordingly based on size of room or suite and location. Guest rooms are large and offer bright and bold colors. Some of the rooms offer private balconies where you can see the fireworks going off at the nearby theme park. Cinderella’s Castle can be viewed from some rooms, or maybe you’ll get a view of Space Mountain! Maybe you’ll be on the other side of the hotel and get to see Epcot Center’s fireworks or the Electrical Water Parade. With so many great views and options, there is a room with a view to please everyone.

Chef Mickey’s is sure to be a family favorite as you dine with the Disney characters. Little ones will delight in seeing Mickey, Pluto or one of their other favorite characters. Other restaurant options are the California Grill which offers fine dining and spectacular views on the fifteenth floor, as well as the Concourse Steakhouse, Grand Canyon Concourse for casual dining, or you can choose the Food and Fun center which offers quick counter choices. The food court is smaller in size then at the other resorts, but his resort offers numerous sit down dining choices. Room service is another dining choice.

Laundry facilities and Valet Parking are both available at this resort. Bus service and water taxi service will bring you to some of Disney’s other attractions. Monorail service will bring you to Epcot Center and Magic Kingdom.
