How Would You Know?

4/19/2004
How would you know how I feel,
You are so wrapped up in you!
You wanted inside my head the other day,
I said, sorry, today I don’t really want to share.
I watched you work yourself into a frenzy,
Over a simple word, like no.
The name calling and accusations,
Are just a small peek at the fractures
Inside your own twisted head.
What is mine, is simply mine,
To withhold or give away, as I so desire.
Down to the simplest of my possessions,
And yes, even including what’s inside my head!
Then today, you say you love me.
So that everyone can hear,
You say you cried half the night,
But you understand my pain too?
Well, sorry, I wish you well,
But I am through with the likes of you.
Cuz only friends, truly friends, know how to hear a no,
When all they want is inside your head!
Take care, but stay away from me.
People who can’t take no for an answer,
Well they scare me. But how would you know?
You have that angry storm inside you head!
