Do You Believe in Greater Forces?

I have many stories but the most recent and most profound was when my little cousin passed one year ago in July.

He loved going after butterflies, dragonflies and all other creepy crawlies. At his viewing his butterfly net was right there and he was buried with it the next day.

Due to the association my family has with the state police many people were affected and many people who were there for my family including the state police and other family and friends that witnessed this “amazing” event.

We arrived to the cemetery in Foster, RI and Issac is placed right next to the dirt path so you could drive right near, next to him is a beautiful forest. At the close of the service when we all said our final goodbyes his parents and siblings returned to the limo no sooner did they do that, a beautiful Viceroy butterfly flew down and landed on his casket. Viceroy’s are not common to the North East, even though their similar relative the Monarch is, and this beautiful Viceroy stayed on the casket just long enough to make the “toughest” person there melt including the Capt. of the state police. The butterfly gracefully took off and went around the state police then to the limo where his unknowing parents, and siblings were seated before heading down the first path.

So, in short, yes things happen that change our outlook and perspective. Many may say that was just a coincidence but I and many others, feel it was a pure miracle and God gave us the chance to know our little Issac was OK and will be OK and we need to rely and believe in that to be OK ourselves.
