Stop Your Children from Being Recruited by Gangs in Central New Jersey
This is why it is very important to keep the lines of communication open between you and your children. This way when they are first approached about joining a gang they will be in a position to let you know, and take the necessary precautions. I know that many parents feel this is easier said than done. But if parents do not begin to try and get involved to help prevent more children from joining gangs, than all of our children will be lost to them. As a parent you want to make sure that you take the time to investigate the violence in your child’s school. In some cases it may be necessary to enroll your child in a private school. This really depends on the area in which live. In central New Jersey some schools are so bad, that you will have no choice. Some parents have even chosen to work two jobs just to put their children in private schools, and keep them away from the gang violence.
But it is not just at school that they will have problems. Gang members will wait on street corners, in front of stores and even at the local malls, just to try and recruit new kids. They look for ones that are by themselves. So you will want to encourage your teen to always travel in a very large group. It may seem like a pain to have to get a few car groups of people to go to the mall, but in the long run it is definitely worth it. Most of the local police departments will be able to tell you where most gang members spend most of their time, attempting to recruit new members. If you take the time to obtain this information from your local police department and pass it on to your teen you may be saving their life.
