Ten Reasons Why You Should Not Buy Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream

I bought Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream after a trip to the beach. A brown spot, better known as an age spot, appeared on my face. I coated my face with sun block while I was out in the sun, but the inevitable happened. Of course I immediately ran to the drug store to find something to help remove or fade the age spot. I came across Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream.

The Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream bottle states that it gradually fades freckles and age spots. It also claimed to help fade any skin discolorations that may be caused by oral medication or pregnancy. I thought I would keep that in mind for future use. I chose Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream specifically over other products that claim to fade age spots and skin discoloration because it said it was non-greasy, non-staining, unscented and dermatologist tested.

I followed the Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream directions, which were very simple. You simply apply to the area of skin that is discolored twice daily. It stated I should see results in six weeks and to discontinue use afterwards. Keeping all of this in mind here are my ten reasons you should not buy Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream.

1. Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream is extremely greasy. I applied this age spot cream to the discolored portion of my skin twice a day. It did not seem to soak in and I would often have to wipe it away with a tissue so that I could apply my makeup. Gross.

2. The smell of Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream is completely unpleasant. I understand chemicals are involved here, but this was beyond the normal smell you would expect.

3. When I first started applying Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream I noticed that my left cheek, where I has the age spot, was turning lightly pink. I did not break out in a rash, but it was quite noticeable. This did stop after about a week of using it. I am not sure this is exactly normal.

4. After two months of using this product, which is 8 weeks, I still had an age spot on my cheek. It did fade slightly. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being how dark it originally was, I would say it came down to a six. A still very visible six. The product stated my age spot should disappear within 6 weeks of use and this just was not true.

5. To make matters worse, after I discontinued use of Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream (i.e. when I finally gave up) my age spot returned with a vengeance. It returned to exactly the same color it had been before. I do not believe it was darker, but I am not sure how you would tell this.

6. A 2.5 oz bottle of Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream costs $9.39. I believe that $10, after tax, is just too much to waste on a product that does not do what it says it will. I think I would have rather wasted my money on a t-shirt from T.J. Maxx instead of this fade cream.

7. The bottle of Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream says it is unscented. This was not true. As mentioned before there was a noticeable unpleasant smell after you applied this fade cream. I am not trying to repeat myself; this complaint has more to do with mislabeling than the smell.

8. Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream left a slimy gross feeling on my hands. I used alot of soap and a towel repeatedly to remove the slimy feeling cream.

9. I have very minimal freckles on my face. I did not buy this fade cream to remove the freckles, but I do have to say that it did not make them fade a way. The age spot is on my left cheek. I only applied the cream to my left cheek. The freckles on both my left and right cheek are still exactly the same. I would not recommend this product if you are trying to fade your freckles. See a dermatologist for that and save your $10.

10. After seeing my age spot return I reread the Esoterica Skin Discoloration Fade Cream bottle. It does say that if the age spot, freckle, or discoloration returns to start reapplying the product. I highly recommend just investing in a bleach kit or better product that will completely remove your brown spot without worry that it will return. No reason to buy a product that already tells you what to do if the problem returns.
