Good Eats in Port Orchard, Washington

Port Orchard, Washington is a fast growing community. It still offers a variety of dining atmospheres and cuisines to choose from, though. When you find yourself in the Westsound area, stop in to any of the following good eats places to enjoy a meal.

Uncle Dave’s CafÃ?© is a diner with an atmosphere of a simpler time. It reminds me of a small town diner with a strong community feel. Patrons share their days with each other in here. It’s nice to see. Port Orchard and Uncle Dave’s CafÃ?© go back a ways. The history here is great.

The food here is home-style and tasty. It is the traditional American fare. The breakfasts are my favorite. The coffee is always fresh and smells so good. Daily specials are listed on the chalkboard. Plus, there is a menu to peruse. The variety is good.

Uncle Dave’s CafÃ?© is located in a small shopping strip. There is ample parking. The service here is just great. The waitresses are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about menu items.

Prices are very reasonable. Serving sizes are ample. This place is a definite on the list of good eats in Port Orchard, Washington.

If I’m in the mood for some Chinese cuisine, I head over to Golden Grill on the Bay. This good eats restaurant has a waterfront location with a fantastic view! The establishment is new to the area. It has already established a positive reputation.

The menu is typical Chinese cuisine, but so much better than other places I have eaten at. The prices are a little higher than other establishments, but the view makes up for it. It’s fun dining on the patio in warm weather.

They have carry out, and free delivery in a limited area. There also are lunch specials.

Located on the other side of town is China Sun Buffet. This good eats place is located in a L-shaped shopping mall. There is ample parking.

The buffet offers salads, soups, entrees, and desserts. They offer crab legs during dinner hour. The baked salmon during lunch hour is scrumptious! And, I especially like the soft serve ice cream. The food has been great each time I have eaten here.

Prices are reasonable, but seem to be steadily increasing. They offer carry out. (Warning: If you put wontons in the egg drop soup, they charge $.50 per wonton!)

The atmosphere is well lit, with ample room to maneuver in. Service is ok. Banquet facilities are available here, also.

For top of the line dining, McCormick Woods has an onsite restaurant that cannot be beat. Known as ‘Merry Macs’, the atmosphere here is top-notch. The view and ambience are great! Located at a golf community, the menu offers exquisite delights. This good eats dining establishment is fine dining at its best.

What’s nice about this good eats place is the fact that there is a nature trail just outside the door. After eating, diners can enjoy a beautiful walk around the grounds. How nice!

Their food has been delicious each time I have been here. The breakfasts are especially good. The prices are high, though.
