When you are young it is nice when you finally have your own place. But it can be expensive to furnish your own apartment. My article will tell how to get it done without having to move into a furnished apartment.

Buy some nice funky pillows cases with nice sleep pillows to use instead of expensive throw pillows. Also, shop during August for sales on throw pillows, which are considered dorm room accessories or buy some summer pillow at the end of the year when stores bring in fall and winter darker colored pillows. Always shop the opposite season for the best sales. Anything you can buy off the season. Think of the cool summer dishes you can show for next year barbecue.

Start a unique collection and hung it on the wall. How about unique old pan tins, old fashioned nutcrackers, or some old fashioned dishes that you can get a city’s many garage sales and thrift stores. How about decorating your music area with old album covers that would take up less space then big posters.

If you buy a bunch of small mirrors you can display them in a circuar pattern. You make a mirror look like a window if you hung curtains in front of the mirror.

How about seashells,unique rocks, plastic tiny colored balls, marbles or colored sand be put in baskets or vases to decorate your bathroom.

Also, find out if your friends have any leftover paint or wallpaper. You can frame many types of wallpaper in frames on the wall or hang one pretty sheet on the wall. You can use stencils with the paint and stencil pretty decorations on your side table. Sponges are great to decorate the borders of your wall with leftover paint.

The best thing about decorating slowly and not having your apartment filled with furniture sets is each will room will slowly unravel and represent you like chapters in a book. People will be surprised and never know what to expect each time you they come over.
