Product Review: Cuisinart Chef’s Classic Nonstick Bakeware

Anyone who is starting out, whether it is a person getting their first apartment, or newly weds, or some other life situation where you need to buy a few simple kitchen items to get cooking, will appreciate the Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 4-piece Nonstick Bakeware Set. It’s perfect for single people or couples who don’t do a whole lot of baking but need the versatility of nonstick bakeware for day-to-day cooking in the oven. It’s a nice starter set that won’t take up a lot of space and performs well.

The Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 4-piece Nonstick Bakeware Set comes with 6-cup muffin pan, a 9-inch loaf pan, 9-inch square cake pan and 9 inch round cake pan. You can get the set online at Amazon.com for just under $30 and shipping is free. It is a great deal compared to kitchen shops, and if you bought the pieces individually it would cost you more.

Although these nonstick pans were intended for easy baking of muffins, cupcakes, cakes and breads, they work for non-sweets too. If you like to heat things from the freezer, such as fish sticks or veggie burgers, or roast vegetables or make a small amount of garlic bread, then this little set is the ticket. If you are like me, and you decide you are turning on the oven, then you efficiently use the oven for cooking more than one thing. So, with these perfect sized non-stick pans in the Cuisinart Chef’s Classic nonstick line, you can use one pan for cooking frozen peas, another for a couple of baked potatoes, and so forth. Unlike other cheap nonstick bakeware, these Cuisinart Chef’s Classic nonstick pans don’t warp. These pans are dependable for evenly distributed heating and they are durable, even after a year of use. I have used the muffin pan for making less than 6 muffins and also baked other items using wonton wrappers shaped like muffins and filled with cream cheese. The pans are great for baking apples and I have even made pie crust and baked an apple pie in the 9-inch round cake pan. I had thrown away a junky pie pan I had and the Cuisinart nonstick doubled up as a pie pan when I needed it most. The Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 4-piece Nonstick Bakeware Set is dishwasher safe, however, I have always hand washed my pans. Additionally, to keep my baking pans like new, I immediately soak them with a little soapy water if I am not able to wash them right away. Both the exterior and the interior of these Cuisinart pans are nonstick surfaces. As a result, they clean fairly easy with just the soft side of a wet kitchen sponge.

The 6 cup muffin pan is perfect for one of those small mixing packets of corn muffins or apple or bran muffins. The muffins slide out with ease, although I mostly use paper muffin cups when I make muffins, I have tried this pan without, just to see how well it performs.

The Cuisinart Chef’s Classic 4-piece Nonstick Bakeware Set has a limited lifetime warranty.

I have been impressed with several Cuisinart kitchen products, and this one is no different. My Cuisinart pieces have held up over time and perform reliably. I would recommend this cute little set at this price and it would make a nice bridal shower gift or gift for someone just starting out on their own. Having a decent set of baking pans is essential for any kitchen.
