Natural Healing Remedies

As alternative treatments to over-the-counter remedies and physician prescribed medications, try the following natural healing remedies. You will be pleasantly pleased with the results and feel much better than drugging yourself unnaturally.

Cough remedies: thyme (only herb, tea); oil is toxic
Fennel

All body natural healing remedy: Garlic (in all forms): known to be a great anti-fungal & natural anti-biotic.

Ã?· Make a cup of tea by mincing fresh garlic and steeping it in hot water for five minutes. Remove the garlic before drinking, if desired. If you don’t have fresh garlic available, use powdered garlic.

Digestive natural healing remedies can be helped with the following:

· chamomile: contains chemicals that calm ulcers, kills harmful microbes, boosts digestive juice production

· ginger: nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, stomach distress/upset
· dandelion: increases liver production of bile (natural laxative)

· peppermint: strengthens weak digestion; helps calm digestive irritation, good for upset stomach.

· apple cider vinegar: digestive & circulatory problems

· apple cider vinegar also provides potassium, fights osteoporosis, controls weight, healthy skin, cleans out toxins from tissues & joints, and helps fights arthritis. In fact, there are some cookbooks out using apple cider vinegar. Buy one and find out how healing this vinegar is.

For total ease, brew some tea out of the first four herbs/foods individually. Usually, about ¼-1/2 teaspoon of the herb per cup of hot water will work fine. Adjust amount for your taste. Steep for about 5 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the taste.

Teas make the best and easiest natural healing remedies. Here are some samples:
Chamomile tea is well known for its calming effect. Many people like to enjoy a cup after a hard day’s work..

For ginger tea, simply grate some fresh ginger or use the powdered form. I like to stir some into a hot cup of water before going on a plane flight. It cancels my need for any Dramamine. Ginger is a great natural remedy and healing tool.

Peppermint tea is known to help settle an upset and/or queasy stomach. I also have found it useful during “gas attacks”. Plus, the taste is good.

So, next time you are not feeling well and need a “boost”, instead of using chemical treatments, go back to nature for the remedy. Natural healing remedies abound and this article only touches upon a few of them.

Remember Hippocrates? He knew the importance of natural healing.
