The first paragraph of your letter to your children should state the actual purpose of writing the letter. So, start the letter with a beautiful Christmas and New Year wish.

In the second paragraph of the letter, share your child’s early day’s memories or the unforgettable time that he or she spend with you, especially during Christmas seasons. In addition to that, praise your child to make him or her feel special on the superb occasion of celebration, writing about some of their best qualities.

    Dear Patrick,

I want to open my letter with a wish that “May God maintain that amazing smile of innocence on my child’s face forever. Merry Christmas and a very Joyous New Year!

Christmas makes me think of you, my sweet pie. You are my life’s most precious gift. If I think of what I want for Christmas from Santa…what more could I want than you.  My wishes came true the moment you came into my life. Today, while going through a box of my keepsakes, I came across that beautiful Christmas list you had written when you just 7 years old. I always enjoyed finding the mentioned Christmas items for you, wrapping them up nicely and putting them under our well embellished Christmas tree.

Although you are in hostel for studies, but the warmth of Christmas season will carry us into the New Year together and it will last us until our next Christmas together…and so on.

    With a lot of love,

    Mom

    Dear [Your Child’s Name],

This Christmas season, I want to take some special time in order to let you know that you are the most precious gift God have ever given me. May this festive season bring you loads of cheerfulness and may you smile forever. Have a bombastic Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

The sole purpose of this letter is to let you to know that I love you beyond your imagination, [Son / Daughter]. I wish I could rewind my life and can take it back to your childhood days, when you were my little baby [Boy / Girl], coming up with new gift ideas every Christmas. Searching the best gift for you, wrapping it in your favorite carton sheet and placing it along your bed on the Christmas Eve was one among the most unforgettable memories of my life. Parents roaming around in the shopping malls with their kids for Christmas shopping make me miss you very badly. However, I always pray for your happiness and success whenever I miss you.

It is your mom’s wish that, “May Adore, Harmony and Ecstasy came down on earth on Christmas to make you glad and joyful. May this Christmas season spread cheer in my son’s life!”

With lots of love, adore and prayers,
