After missing out on his rubber matchup with Jose Luis Castillo in June of this year, Diego ‘Chico’ Corrales (40-3 33KOs) will take on Joel Casamayor (33-3-1 21KOs). Despite Corrales’ third installment with Castillo sinking away, it seems he’ll still get a rubber match this year in 2006. In the first contest against Casamayor in 2003, Corrales was stopped in the 6th round at the advice of ringside physicians. In the rematch, Diego got his revenge by gaining a 12 round split decision victory over Joel. Now, the two combatants look to end all the talk and prove who’s the best lightweight in the world.
