Tradewinds Legends: Pirates of the Middle East

Imagine yourself out on the high seas in the times of pirates, magic, and other fun stuff. You and your mighty fleet of ships travel all over the world; seeking wealth, fame, and adventure. That is the life you live on Tradewinds Legends.

Tradewinds Legends is the third Tradewinds game in the series but you didn’t have to play the first two to understand. This game takes place in the Middle East; deep in the land of sand but there’s plenty of sailing both on the water and in the air. In Tradewinds Legends, in Story Mode, you get to choose to play one out of five characters who ranged from a poor widow trying to get by to a rich merchant looking to earn a quick gold coin to even a half ifirit, half human, somewhat evil woman. Or if you have played those characters already, you could just make your own character. Also, if you want to just play the game without worrying about the storyline, then you could just play Free Trade Mode.

The Story Mode is fun since each character has their own unique story and even had the other characters interact with each other in fun ways. You travel around the known world buying and selling goods to make money. Each city has unique prices for goods so you could buy low in one city and sell high in another.

Also, each city has a Sultan which you do errands for in the Story Mode in exchange for riches or even valuable treasures. Each city has different things. Some cities have a shipyard where you can buy ships. Other cities have banks where you can store your money and earn interest. There are magic shops where you could go and buy items to help you in your quest.

Of course traveling isn’t easy with all the pirates running around itching to take your ship and your head. Thankfully, there are also magical weapons to defend you against the pirates. There is also the occasional storm to blow you off course so you have to be careful against those. There are even times when you would have to fight the city itself.

The ships are really cool. At first you get your basic ships and the fun starts when you get flying ships like great big balloon ships. You can fire cannons from those ships and some ships have special abilities like a bigger hull or the ability to avoid storms. It is entirely random.

You can get this game at Yahoo Games or on the Sandlot Website. You are free to try it to see it for yourself. It costs only 24.99 but you get to play it all you want. Have fun!
