Help Ease the Pain of Angina

Angina feels much like you’re having a heart attack, in fact, it could be the precursor to a heart attack. The symptoms include pain in the chest, left shoulder, neck, jaws, and back, and shortness of breath. Sounds like a heart attack but its not, it’s an angina attack you are suffering. Angina is worse for men than women. It occurs when the heart muscle temporarily doesn’t get enough blood and oxygen producing chest pain or discomfort. It’s usually caused by stress, overeating, or over exertion. Medical treatment is a must to keep angina attacks under control but there are some alternative treatments that can help ease the pain of angina. Don’t mistake these treatments for a cure angina requires the need for medicine.

Coenzyme Q10 restores and stimulates the cells by helping it get more oxygen and blood into the heart. Take 90 to 180 mgs of CoQ10 with or after meals. When taking CoQ10 be sure to take carnitine with it. Taking carnitine along with CoQ10 helps increase the power and effectiveness of both nutrients in easing the pain of angina. Alternative doctors believe without CoQ10 and carnitine, the heart isn’t able to convert energy from fats for energy and converts energy from sugar instead, which is less effective and leads to plaque buildup causing the pain of angina. Take 500 mgs of carnitine everyday twice a day up to 1,000 mgs a day three to four times a day depending on how severe the pain.

Tocotrienol is a powerful form of vitamin E that helps protect against heart disease and eases the pain of angina. The nutrient helps to stop blood clots by acting as a blood thinner. Take 50 mgs of the nutrient three times a day. Magnesium citrate helps to improve the flow of blood by opening up the arteries and strengthening the heart muscle. Take one ounce of the nutrient once a day on an empty stomach. Since magnesium citrate can cause diarrhea be sure to take only one ounce a day.

Homeopathy helps to ease the pain of angina. Take a 30C potency of homeopathic cactus along with prescribed medication, not in replace of it. Let the pellets dissolve in your mouth every five minutes until the pain is gone. The last natural treatment that helps ease the pain of angina is a warm shower or bath that helps to dilate the blood vessels in your body, including those in your heart. Take a shower or bath when experiencing a mild angina attack but be sure to have a fan on or vent or window open to dispense the steam. Steam reduces the oxygen in a room and if you are having an angina attack, the last thing you need is a lack of oxygen.
