I Love My Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker

Ever since I read KMiner’s Review of the Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker, I have really wanted one. So, when my husband hinted that he was going to get me something for Valentine’s Day, I asked him not to get me any jewelry. Instead, I begged him for the Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker. And, since my husband loves gadgets even more than I do, he got it for me.

A quesadilla maker?? For Valentine’s Day??

Yes. That’s what I wanted. Besides, it’s red for those V-Day traditionalists out there. I really wanted it, and I knew that my husband and I would enjoy many, many quesadillas that I could whip up in minutes. So, I was absolutely thrilled when I opened the box and got my Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker. My husband rocks.

The basic idea of this is the same as any waffle maker or grilled cheese (or panini) maker you have seen. You heat it up, place a tortilla on the bottom part, sprinkle it with your fillings, cover it with another tortilla, then close. When the green light comes on, your quesadilla is ready! Simply remove from the Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker, cut along the ridges and serve. What could be easier?

Cleaning the Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker can be a bit of a challenge. You can’t take it apart and stick it in your dishwasher. I have found that heating the maker up a little, then wiping with a wet cloth really gets the job done. It’s just a matter of getting it to a temperature where you can handle wiping the burned cheese or whatever else may be on there off.

This is a terrific item for busy families and families with children. I’m none of the above, but I love my Santa Fe Quesadilla Maker.
