Preventing Insect Bites: Bayer Advanced Indoor and Outdoor Home Pest Repellent
I love having a big family, but I already have plenty of aunts. I don’t need a couple hundred ants, spiders, or beetles overtaking my bathroom. It is important to wipe out these unwanted pests.
Safety is of my utmost concern when it comes to purchasing a pest repellent. Lowe’s stores carry Bayer advanced products for all sorts of buggy situations. For my family, we selected the Bayer Advanced Indoor/Outdoor Pest Repellent. This particular product is safe to use inside and out as the name implies. I have four children, so I want to be absolutely certain that the product is harmful only to pests and not my tiny tots.
Pets are family, too. My home is a haven for pets, but not pests. Is Bayer Advanced Indoor/Outdoor Pest Repellent safe with dogs, cats, rabbits, and fish? According to the package, it is safe to use the pest control spray around household pets. I saw absolutely no adverse reaction from any of the pets in our home.
The product did caution not to use Bayer Advanced Indoor/Outdoor Pest Repellent around ponds. I have an aquarium in my home with several tropical fish. My fish are happy and healthy following the administration of the pest repellent in the room where the fish tank is located.
I am asthmatic and need to be careful around certain types of chemicals. As my husband applied Bayer Advanced Indoor/Outdoor Pest Repellent, I was in the home. In fact, at times I was in the same room. The product did not affect me or my asthma in any way.
The Bayer Advanced Pest Repellent claims to have no severe odor. I was skeptical of this. My kids said the spray was stinky, but I felt the odor was light when compared to pest repellents we have used in the past. I felt no need to open windows and evacuate.
The product claims to kill bugs in seconds. My daughter watched a bug for the first twenty seconds after applying the product to the room. The bug did not die in that period of time, but it had not yet come in contact with the spray.
Ten minutes after Bayer Advanced Indoor/Outdoor Pest Repellent was sprayed along the baseboards of the home, ants were no longer visible in my bathroom. For me, this is proof enough that Bayer advanced Pest Repellent works. The product claims to work for up to nine months. I will have to see about the effectiveness in the future months, but for now, I am completely satisfied.
My husband did have a little trouble getting the container to spray properly, He was hoping to see improvements in this area.
I would rate this product a nine out of ten points possible. It is safe and effective. The container did not spray perfectly and my kids thought it had some odor, but overall, the product did everything it claimed. Bayer Advanced Indoor/Outdoor Pest Repellent is a great value and worth every penny. If you have pests, I recommend this product above other brands. Take back your home with Bayer Advanced.
