At the Customer Support page for a help ticket and do not forget to mention your username and your request.

Send an email to Elance at services@elance.com, requesting to change your current username. For this, you would have to send your name, your current user name and your information.

Mention you desired username in the help ticket or the email. Try to give several options for the new username in-case your first option is not available. Do not forget to list your options in the order of preference.
