Molasses cookies are always loved by people who like any type of cookies because these crispy treats are hard to resist. Molasses cookies are enjoyed by people from all ages including even three-year old kids to aged ones over 70. These crispy cookies are best to eat anytime you like as they taste superb.
Ingredients
  • White sugar – 1 cup
  • Margarine – ¾ cup
  • Molasses – ¼ cup
  • Egg – 1
  • White sugar – ½ cup
  • Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cloves – ½ teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Baking soda – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon
  • Ground ginger – ½ teaspoon
Instructions
  1. First of all, you need to mix up melted margarine, egg and 1 cup sugar, and put them in a medium bowl.
  2. Shake or stir these mixed ingredients in the molasses, and it will become a molasses mixture.
  3. Now mix up flour, cinnamon, ginger, baking soda and cloves.
  4. Blend all these mixed ingredients into molasses mixture.
  5. After that, cover dough and refrigerate it for 1 hour.
  6. After one hour, preheat the oven to 190 degrees C (375 degrees F) and roll the refrigerated dough into balls (walnut sized) and also roll them into the sugar.
  7. Then place these cookies on baking sheets but make sure you keep cookies at least two inches away from each other.
  8. Keep these cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes and stop baking when you see cracks appearing on the top cookies.
  9. Now place these baked cookies on wire racks in refrigerator and wait until they are thoroughly chilled.
  10. Serve these delicious treats and enjoy the party.
