Swiffer Doesn’t Flick Rugs
I have rugs scattered throughout my home, and my kitchen rugs accumulate the most trash. It doesn’t help matters that the kitchen rugs are dark marroon and black and broadcast the tiniest bit of lint for the world to see. This being said, I was eager to use the Swiffer Carpet Flick on the rugs in my house.
I was immediately disappointed with the performance of the Carpet Flick. Yes, they get most of the debris from regular carpet, but they do not work on rugs well at all, although they claim to work on rugs. I tested them on kitchen rugs, oriental rugs, dining room rugs, and even the floormats in my car. They are really only good for pushing the rug around on the floor and leaving crumbs, dust, and jelly beans behind.
Not to mention, the refills for this product are so expensive that you can barely afford to buy the food that will end up on the rugs!!
I have opted to use the good old dust buster for now, but only if I could find a reliable carpet sweeper like my grandmother once had!
