Product Review: Cascade Complete

I consider myself to basically be a tightwad. As a matter of fact, I own a frugality website called www.afford-to-stay-home.com. I buy lots of cheap, generic items and shop with coupons. I do lots of “weird” things like cooking from scratch daily and occasionally even making my own laundry detergent. However, Cascade Complete is one luxury item that I will NOT be without! I am a loyal, committed buyer of Cascade Complete (even though I have not yet found a coupon for it).

(Did you know, by the way, that it is cheaper to run a dishwasher than to wash dishes by hand?)

I recently tried, once again, switching to a cheaper dishwasher detergent; but I was disgusted with it within one week. All of my glasses were cloudy, and there was food residue on half of the dishes. That, My Friend, does NOT happen with Cascade Complete. Ever. The Cascade Complete box boasts, “Cleans so well… no need to pre-wash!” I have found this statement to be true. I can really load my dirty dishes straight from the table to the dishwasher, and Cascade Complete takes care of the rest. Really!

The Cascade Complete box also claims, “Powers away unseen residue… rinses cleanly away!” I have also found this to be true. I am still a tightwad when it comes to rinse aids; I simply use white vinegar. However, even when I forget to add it for months, Cascade Complete pulls through and gives me clear glasses (unlike its competitor).

Going on with quotes from the box of Cascade Complete: “The advanced formula of Cascade Complete helps to dissolve food particles so they rinse away clean and don’t get stuck on other dishes or in your machine, leaving nothing behind but the shine!” One of the first things I noticed last week after switching back to Cascade Complete (after a disgusting two week affair with the competitor) was that even my dishwasher looked clean after just one load! And I was really impressed that not even one glass or dish had to be re-washed. When I put my silverware away, I noticed that it was all shiny; but the silverware in the drawer was cloudy and looked like it had scum build up all over it!

I’m sold! I will never again betray Cascade Complete! Of course, if they would share their recipe, I would probably just try to make it myself!
