When is it Time to Replace Bathroom Rug Sets?

Bathroom rug sets not only look stylish, adding character to a bathroom; they also help to collect water when you get out of the bath or shower, which can prevent the development of leaks in the home. But when is it time to replace bathroom rug sets?

Faded Rug Sets

Over time, repeated washing of bathroom rug sets will leave once vibrant colours faded and dull. Matching bathroom sets will then start to look mismatched and not quite as decorative as the day you first bought them. Faded bathroom rug sets can also detract from the theme of a bathroom, so it is a good idea to consider replacing them when they no longer match the valence or shower curtain.

Frayed, Worn Rug Sets

Bathroom rug sets will not last indefinitely. Each time you wash your bathroom rug sets, this will not only produce warm, fluffy rugs that feel soft to the touch as you step on them, but the washing process can also gradually break down the fibres of bathroom rug sets which can leave them looking worn and frayed at the edges over time. If they are not replaced, the fibres inside bathroom rug sets will then start to break down completely, leaving deposits inside your washing machine, tumble dryer and on the floor.

Stained Linoleum

Good quality bathroom rug sets should last you a long time without the need to replace them on a regular basis. But some bathroom rug sets are poorly made and will leave linoleum stained where the bathroom rug sets were positioned. It is extremely difficult to clean stained linoleum, little short of replacing the actual linoleum. That is why it is best to make sure you buy a good quality bathroom rug set to begin with and to throw out bathroom rug sets that have already started to turn the linoleum in the bathroom yellow.

Bathroom rug sets look far more attractive and tidier than an old towel that has been tossed on the floor for when you step out of the bath or shower each day. But bathroom rug sets will not last a lifetime and will at some point need to be replaced. When you notice that the bathroom rugs start to look faded, worn or frayed or they have stained the bathroom floor, it is time to head to the shops and pick out a whole new bathroom rug set.
