3D Paper Folding: Learn How to Fold Animals and More
When you open the program you will see the birds at the bottom of the window. Click a bird to see it in the main window. You will also see information about that bird in the Model Info window at the top right of the program. You will learn about all of the things that you can create in the Model Info window. This is also a great educational program.
On the left side of the program you will see all of the different categories. Click an icon to see the objects that are in that category. The objects will appear in the bottom panel. There are nine different categories to choose from.
To learn how to create a paper fold, double click the object in the bottom panel. We will use the Peacock as an example for this guide. Click the Bird Icon on the left side of the program. Double click the first peacock in the bottom panel. The bottom panel will now show the different steps.
Click one time on step one in the bottom panel, then click the Play button at the far right. That will show you how to do the first step. Then click on step two and click the play button again. That will show you how to do step two. Continue doing this for each step.
You can also print out textures so that your paper fold will look like the one in the program. To print the texture, click the print icon in the Texture Info window. When the box pops up, tick the Print Texture field. Then click the OK button. That will print the texture. Not all of the objects have the printing option. If you see a texture in the Texture Info window, that means it has a texture. If it is blank, it does not have texture.
You can also change the color theme of the program. On the left side on the program you will see the Tool Icon. Click that icon and a box will pop up. Change the color for the theme by dropping the theme box down. That will change the color theme.
You can download this program from downloads.com. This is a neat little program for kids and it is educational too. This would make a great edition to art for homeschoolers.
