That Awful Smell

Please tell me that I am not the only person who has burnt their burner covers more than once. You would think after all these years that I would have learned which burner I am actually turning on. But sadly, I have not.

Well, I did it again this morning. And let me tell you it is the worst smell. Now my downstairs smells of burnt plastic. The good think is that at least I didn’t set off the fire alarm this time. Oh no, that went off earlier this week when I was cooking steak!

So now I am deciding if I should waste my money and buy a new set of burner covers just to make my stove top look pretty. I think this time, I will have to say, No. At least the next time I turn on the wrong burner I will be able to see that I did this until having to smell that awful burning plastic again.
