Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour – 4 tablespoons
- Raw sugar – 2 tablespoons
- Cocoa powder – 2 tablespoons
- Egg – 1
- Vanilla-flavoured soymilk – 3 tablespoons
- Unsweetened applesauce – 2 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil – 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla extract – 1 dash
- Dark chocolate chips – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Take all the dry ingredients and put them in the microwave safe mug and mix them well.
- Add egg to the cup and stir well.
- When mixed, add soy milk, vanilla, apple sauce and vegetable oil and stir gently.
- Repeat the process after adding chocolate chips to the mixture.
- Ensure that all the ingredients are well mixed and form batter.
- Place the mug into the oven and turn the power on. Set the timer to 3 minutes with full power (1000 watts).
- The batter will start rising on the top of the cup.
- As soon as the microwave oven turns off, the batter will go back down in the cup.
- Remove the cup from the microwave oven and let it cool. The 5-minute cake is ready and can be eaten right from the cup.
