You often feel like having a cigarette when you’ve just had a bad day. Smoking can serve as a temporary cure, but it never works in the long term. You always find yourself smoking more cigarettes to feel better, and you never feel any better.

Breathing exercises are known to help ease stress. Regular physical exercise is also another way of feeling better and distracting yourself form whatever it is that’s bothering you.

    Go cold turkey

Never ever tell yourself that you’ll cut down on the cigarettes and quit gradually. It never works. If you want to quit, go cold turkey. Make up your mind, get the support of close friends and family and just quit. Tell yourself that you can do it and refer to your game plan whenever need be.

    Have a strong support system

It’s often easier when you quit cigarettes together with friends or people who are close to you. It’s always easier when you have people who aim to achieve the same targets as you do.
