How to Locate Your Android Phone/Tablet Using Google

Android has been considered as one of the most commonly used operating systems for the touchscreen devices (smartphones and tablets). It offers you many features which you can use as per your needs. Moreover, you can also install applications from the Android Market by using your Google account. It is to be noted that not all apps are free on Android Market as for some you have to pay online to buy the required license.

This article contains the respective steps which you can take to locate your Android device by using Google. Furthermore, the procedure has been explained in a very simple manner so that you don’t face any kind of trouble following it.

    First, you need to configure your device. Go to the Android Market. Download and install the Google Apps Device Policy Application. Then, go to Settings > Accounts > Add a new account (remember that this account will be your Google Apps Account). When you will add the Google Apps account, you will be automatically redirected to Google Apps Device Policy App, if not, then go manually.

    After you have added the Google Apps Account in the Accounts Section, you have to go to the Google Apps Device Policy App for configuring the application to link with the new account which you have made.

    Now, you have to view the device on the internet for which you must login to your Google Apps Account. After logging in, you will be redirected to a webpage which will contain the information regarding your device.

    You can use the service now. You will be given few options like Manage (Ring Device, Reset PIN or Lock Device). You can locate your device by using Google maps. Furthermore, you can also see your device information which include Model number, Hardware ID, Android Version, Last Sync, Registration date and Status (active or not).
