How to Polish Chrome

Chrome is used as a decorative or protective finish to certain body parts of cars and is also used on everyday use products that we have at our homes such as faucets as well as in dyes and pigments. It is a strong and durable metal that resists corrosion.

Stainless steel is a combination of iron and chromium generally 11% or more in concentration of the total volume of the stainless steel. It is also used in making molds for bricks and other similar products that need to be treated in kilns.

However, sometimes the rust resistant metal too can get rusty. In that case, we can get it cleaned with the help of some very simple process from material available in just about every household.

You can also use the vinegar and baking soda to get the extra bit of shine on the rusted surface. The process is quite simple; you soak a piece of cloth with vinegar and add some baking soda to it. The next thing to do is to give the rusted chrome a good old fashioned rub and after a bit of time, the rust will start coming off. After a bit of time, the surface should be all cleaned up and should be good as new.
