Charity Activity Invitation Letter

Charity activities are arranged around the world by both non-profit and commercial organizations. For these events formal invites are sent to people to ask for their time. These invitations should be sent almost a month before the event so that people can mark it in their diaries and give a thought to the contributions they can give. They usually follow a certain pattern as given below.

The first paragraph introduces your organization to the recipient. Tell the name of the company and briefly convey what is its purpose of existence. Write two to three lines so that it gives an insight to what the company does.

The second paragraph tells your intentions behind writing the letter. Tell them what kind of event you are holding and give invitation for the event. Write the venue and time of the event.
In the end politely convey that you expect them to be there.
Sign off in a respectful way by writing respectfully or sincerely.

    Dear Mr. Niles,

The Young Musicians Group aims to develop the capabilities and talents of young people with keen interest in music. It was started twelve years ago by talented musicians who wanted to spread music education in the country. Every year the group sponsors six worthy young musicians to study music in any reputed school around the world. After completion of the classes, they return to share their knowledge with others.

We rely on the community’s support as we are a non-profit organization. This year a charity lunch will be held on February 15 at Ames hotel, to collect donations for this year’s deserving students. We would like you to be a part of this event.

Thank you and we hope to have you there.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Jones Murphy
