You can alter the recipe by your choice and can make different flavours of lip gloss at home.

– Petroleum jelly
– Vegetable oil
– Microwave-safe bowl
– Microwave oven
– Flavours and Colour

    Making Mixture

    Take petroleum jelly and vegetable oil in equal amounts, depending on how much lip gloss you want to make, and mix them up properly in a bowl.

    Bake it in Microwave


    Make sure the bowl you are using is microwave-safe. When you have thoroughly mixed petroleum jelly and vegetable oil, put the bowl in microwave oven for 45 seconds and be careful not to overcook your mixture.

    Add Colour and Flavours

    Next step included adding colours and flavour to your lip gloss. Small amounts of Kool-Aid or a little bit of vanilla extract can be added to the mixture. You can use any other edible flavouring or colour you desire for your lip gloss and mix it uniformly. It is to be remembered that vanilla extract has very strong taste and smell; hence, a very small amount of it can be sufficient to serve the purpose. An overpowering taste or smell in the lip gloss can feel very odd to use.

    Preserve it

    Take a tin container and wash it out to put your lip gloss. Any suitable container can be used or even an old lips gloss container.

    Put your container into the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before using your home-made lip gloss!
