How To Make a Peppermint Foot Scrub
Peppermint is a herb that is easy to grow and has a number of uses. This herb has a long tradition of medicinal use. Peppermint is well known for digestive aid. In aromatherapy, peppermint is considered as an invigorating scent.
This herb is also used in manufacturing some shampoos, soaps and skin care products. The methanol present in peppermint is the main source of the cooling sensation. Methanol activates mucosal tissues as well as cold sensitive TRPM8 receptors in human skin, nourishing the skin and creating a refreshing tingle. This beneficial herb also has mild antiseptic, antifungal and deodorizing properties, and this is the reason that this herb is widely used in making foot scrubs. You can buy a peppermint foot scrub from your nearest bath or drug store, or you can make your own yummy smelling, skin softening peppermint foot scrub at home, using simple household ingredients.
