Chinese Chicken Noodle Salad Recipe

Salads are very important part of food in west. There are variety of salads that can be prepared with the help of spaghetti and one of them is the Chinese Chicken Noodle Salad. This salad can be prepared with the help of a package of spaghetti and a host of more ingredients in a matter of 30 minutes.

The dish is popular due to the minimal time required and its easy-to-make recipe. The spaghetti has to be boiled with peas for some time and then has to be added to the already cooked chicken. All other ingredients are mixed in a separate bowl and poured over the noodles to give it a sensational and delicious taste.

Ingredients:
Spaghetti (16 ounces): 1 packet
Diagonally sliced fresh peas: 2 cups
Shredded cooked chicken: 4 cups
Onions: 8 sliced
Teriyaki sauce: 1 cup
Julienned red bell pepper: 1 cup
Chilli oil: ½ teaspoon
Pepper: ¼ teaspoon
Salt: ¼ teaspoon
Dark sesame oil: 2 tablespoons
Toasted sesame seed: 1 tablespoon

Instructions

    Boil water in a deep pan and add the package of spaghetti in it. Cook the spaghetti for ten minutes in the pan and slowly stir with a wooden spatula. Make sure the stirring is done on the sides of the pan as using the spatula in the centre could break the spaghetti into smaller pieces. When the noodles reach a boil, add the sliced peas into the pan and cook for one more minute. Make sure the peas are not overcooked as that could affect the taste in the end

    After that, rinse the spaghetti with running cold water and place them in a large bowl. In the large bowl, add the cooked chicken, bell pepper and sliced onions and slowly stir the mixture until everything is well combined. Set the mixture aside for use later

    In a separate smaller bowl, add the remaining ingredients which include the teriyaki sauce, chilli oil, sesame seeds, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Thoroughly combine the mixture until all the ingredients are dissolved

    Pour the mixture in the smaller bowl over the spaghetti mixture and repeatedly toss so that some of the ingredients reach the bottom of the large bowl. Serve at room temperature for best taste
