How to Make a Three Bean Salad

One of the typical summer picnic foods for Americans is 3-bean salad. It is not the hardest of salads to prepare. Usually, it is made with canned green beans; however, a few adventurers do use cannellini white beans as well.

For those who have diabetic problems, this salad is not highly recommended. It traditionally has a dressing comprised of vinegar, oil and sugar. The last ingredient is perhaps the most important one. It is almost impossible to make a tasty 3-bean salad without sugar.

Three bean salad is a very unique and valuable addition to the salads category. You can add it to any kind of casual lunch or dinner. It is something you love to prepare when it comes to go to an outing.

It requires only a little time to make it. The best thing about this salad is that it does not stale. One can prepare it well in advance, even a day or two before using.

Utensils: Two Bowls, Mixing spoon, Kitchen Towel Paper, Knife

Ingredients:
Cannellini beans, rinsed and drained1 15-oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained: 1 15-oz can
Garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained: 1 15-oz can
Celery stalks, chopped fine: 2
Red onion, chopped fine: 1/2
Fresh, finely chopped flat-leaf parsley: 1 cup
Fresh finely chopped rosemary: 1 tbsp
Apple cider vinegar: 1/3 cup
Granulated sugar: 1/3 cup
Olive oil: 1/4 cup
Salt: 1 1/2 teaspoons
Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

    Take one large bowl, and stir the beans, celery, onion, parsley and rosemary. Use mixing spoon to blend them well.

    Take another bowl - slightly smaller in size, and mix together the vinegar, sugar, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

    Now, it is the time to add the dressing to the beans. Toss to coat.

    The salad is almost ready, but it must not be used soon after preparing. It is always better to chill the beans in the refrigerator.

    The beans must be kept at a cold place for several hours. The chilling allows the beans to absorb the favour of the dressing. Enjoy your delicious salad after that.
