How to Make Tuna Pasta Salad

Quite contrary to what people think, Tuna Pasta Salad is not that hard to make. Yes it is true that it takes more than hour to prepare but it is worth it. If you are at home and are having guests over, Tuna Pasta Salad can serve you really well. All you need is pasta, tuna and basic essentials of a normal salad. If you are good at making pasta or even rice, it is guaranteed that you will make a fine tuna pasta salad.

Let’s say you have half a dozen guests to serve and you do not want to spend all day in kitchen making some traditional dish, the idea to prepare Tuna Pasta Salad could be very tempting. But you have to be very careful while making this particular salad because one careless mistake can ruin the whole salad.

Yield: 6 servings
Utensils: Bowl, Spoon, Knife, Pot of water

Ingredients:
Boxes of Penne Pasta: 1 1/2
Light tuna in water (not drained): 5 cans
Hard boiled eggs sliced: 6
Light vinegar (can use more per taste): 1/2 cup
Onion finely chopped: 1
Stalks celery finely chopped: 2-3
Light mayonnaise (desired amount)
Parsley
Basil

Instructions

    Take out pasta and let it drain naturally. Add tuna and mix it up and remember not to drain it. Take hard boiled eggs and add them to the mixture. Take onion, celery, vinegar, spices and mayonnaise and mix all of them. Wait couple of hours and see if you need to add more mayonnaise or vinegar once they have been soaked up by the pasta.

    The best tip to cook pasta is to bring covered pot of water to boil. Let it heat for a while and the pasta will continue to cook itself and you won't have to have the stove on burning unwanted. It will certainly quicken things up for you.

    Wait around 20 minutes and you will have wonderful tender pasta. Once the water is absorbed it should be done and you don’t need to spend a lot of time waiting for you salad to get prepared.

    Now take your drained tuna and combine it with your cooked pasta. Take all the ingredients including chopped celery, peas, and mayonnaise and mix them all up. If you want to make your salad creamier, add only mayonnaise to the salad and nothing else.

    Let the salad cool down at least 1- 2 hours naturally before serving.
