How To Make Boiled Mayonnaise

Homemade mayonnaise is the most delicious and yummy item for either dipping or dressing purposes. Mayonnaise is easily available from the market but they don’t have the taste and spice as compared to a homemade one. In addition to this, the homemade mayonnaise is fresh and preservatives are not used in making it.

Utensils: Boiler, spoon, large bowl

Ingredient:
Salt: 1 tsp.
Sugar: 1 tbsp.
Eggs yolks: 3
Flour: 1 tbsp.
Melted butter: 1/4 c.
Cream or milk: 1 c.
Paprika: 1/2 tsp.
Cider vinegars: 1/2 c.
Ground mustard: 1 tsp.

    Create the base

    First of all you need to create the base of the boiled mayonnaise. You need to mix, flour, sugar, ground mustard and salt. Place these ingredients in a bowl and mix them. Continue mixing the ingredients until it becomes thick or form ribbons.

    Add butter

    Add butter into this mixture or the base and continue mixing it.

    Add Taste

    Next you need to mix egg yolks, cream or milk and cedar vinegar in a separate bowl. This is to add the mayonnaise taste and distinct colour.

    Note that you can add goat’s milk instead of normal milk which will further enrich taste of the mayonnaise.

    Combine both mixtures

    After mixing egg yolks, milk and cedar vinegar, take out the mixture and place it in the first bowl in which you created the base mixed with butter.

    Remember, no streaks are visible in the bowl when you mix both mixtures together. If streaks are visible then you have completely mixed both bowls.

    You can mix these mixtures by your hand or use a food processor if necessary.

    Cook the new mixture

    After mixing ingredients together from both bowls, cook the new mixture in a double boiler. You need to cook over gently heated water and continue cooking until it becomes thick.

    Remember to constantly stir the new mixture while cooking.

    Season to taste

    In the end add paprika before letting the finished product cool under room temperature.

    Serve

    After chilling, you can serve the delicious homemade mayonnaise with your salad or combine it with other oils and spices to create dressing for your salads.
