How to Perform Friday Prayers
Muslims perform ‘Salah’ five times a day, as it is one of the five pillars of Islam. Other than that, it is mandatory for them to gather around for Friday prayers, commonly referred as ‘Jummah.’
This activity is performed in a mosque and cannot be done separately at home. It is a must for men whereas females can offer the regular prayers at home.
Offering Salah is a Muslim way of communicating to Allah. According to the fourth caliph of Islam, Hazrat Ali (R.A), “Whenever I wish that Allah talks to me, I read the Quran (Holy Book), and whenever I wish talking to Allah, I offer Salah.”
However, one needs to be prepared in order to perform the prayers, especially on Friday. Some of the new Muslims don’t have much know how about the religion, so they might ignore the importance of the Friday prayers. They should not worry though, as the process is not a difficult one at all.
