You can download it from Microsoft’s website. After downloading the file, run it on your computer to install. The installation process will take some time and will be completed after checking your Windows validation.

    After installing the ‘Microsoft Security Essentials’, you will have to update it (if you have an older version, otherwise it will be up to date). Then, scan your computer and change its settings to auto protection for which you will have to select ‘Settings’, then ‘Real time Protection’. You can also set the time at which it will automatically scan your PC.
