  Use four sheets of tissue paper and pin them to the clothesline. Once done, spray them with a fireproofing product so that the cloth may not catch fire once the lanterns are lit. Avoid the corners while spraying the clothesline. Leave the paper to dry after that.

  Apply an adhesive and glue each sheet of the tissue paper along with an untreated sheet. Make sure that you join them lengthwise, so that you don't have problem later in the process.

  Draw a resembling pattering of half of the mitten over a craft paper. The completed later should look like a hot-air balloon after the joining of the four pieces. Tape the four pieces together, leaving a space of flat portion open on the bottom. Adjust the remaining design of the lantern respectively, so that the developed structure can act your base. Once the designing is complete, remove the tape.

  Consider craft pattern as a guide for developing your lantern. Glue the pieces together, while leaving the bottom open.

  The next phase involves developing a bamboo hoop. You can start that by splitting the bamboo into thin strips. Test the strips for their flexibility by bending them slightly between your hand. Use these stripes to create hoop secure its both sides with glue.

  Install a wire onto the frame and secure that with the help of staples. Use the cardboard square to cover it with a foil, and use tape to attach it to the centre of the frame.

  Create a foil cup, large enough to hold the cotton ball. Tape this to the center of the pad filled with dry cotton.

  Attach the tissue paper over the created frame so that it looks like a hot-air balloon. Make sure that the frame is properly covered with the tissue paper and attach it using tape or glue.

  Soak the cotton ball in the rubbing alcohol and place it over the dry cotton in the foil cup. Light the alcohol dipped cotton on fire and hold the lantern for a while. When the sides of the lantern feel hot, that means it's filled with enough farm air to fly into the sky. And that's when you let the lantern go, and watch as it soars upwards.
