How to Visit the Uffizi Gallery
The Uffizi Gallery is lauded as one of the premier art galleries in the world, because of its extensive collection of primitive and Renaissance paintings, which includes works by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Caravaggio and many other big names from different parts of the world. It is one of the biggest galleries of its kind in the world, thanks to the huge collections made by the Medici family. Their successors, the Lorraine Grand-dukes also contributed a lot towards the expansion of the gallery. Currently, the gallery is located at the top floor of the former administrative offices of the Tuscan state.

From the train station, take the bus 23, which will take your directly to the Uffizi Gallery. If you are at the city center then you can also walk for around 10 minutes to reach the museum.

The museum remains open from 8:15 am to 6:50 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. Therefore, plan your visit accordingly.

Pay for the entrance fee. If you are an EU resident, then you can have some discount on the admission fee. Otherwise, you will have to pay the full amount.

Do not forget to appreciate the huge collection of Renaissance art available at the museum. The Birth of Venus, an amazing art work by Sandro Botticelli and Leonardo Da Vinci's ‘The Annunciation’ and Caravaggio's Bacchus are some of the highlights. You can explore for more at the museum. You will find a total of 40 rooms in the museum. All of them are fully organized, while each displaying a series of related art works.

You can also visit the museum shops that are located at the entrance and the exit of the museum. You can buy guidebooks or souvenirs inspired by the art works present in the gallery. In addition to that, you can also buy different publications, related to the art work present in the museum.

After your finished exploring different sections in the museum, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the museum’s cafe, where you can also enjoy the great view of Florence. The cafeteria is located at the terrace above the Uffizi Loggia.
