How to Lighten Blemishes

Blemishes are one among the common skin issues, affecting both males and females. Acne, pimples and blackheads are the common forms of blemishes. They can pop up without any notice. These ugly marks or areas of tints on your skin due to blemishes can affect your overall appearance, making you   self-conscious about your look. No one can deny this fact that the blemishes are very difficult to be eradicated from roots. However, simple and effective methods are available to lighten the blemishes so that they come out less noticeable to others, giving you more self-assurance.

    Facial Steam

    Facial steam is very useful method to lighten the blemishes as it nicely unclogs the dead skin and pores. Apply some virgin olive oil on your face and gently massage it for few minutes, using your fingertips. Now, take a pot or large bowl of boiling water and lower affected area over it. Wait for 3 to 5 minutes and gently wipe the oil off with tissue paper or cotton pad.

    Wash the Affected Area

    Wash the affected area two a day, using a good quality mild cleanser or soap. Moreover, make sure to cleanse and remove the applied makeup at the end of the day.

    Apply Moisturizer

    Once you wash the affected area, apply some best quality moisturizer cream in gently circular motions until it seeps into your skin.

    Lemon Juice

    Lemon Juice is one among the naturally effective bleaching agents and therefore helps in lightening the blemishes.  Dip some clean cotton balls into the freshly squeezed lemon juice and gently rub over the affected area of your body. Let the lemon juice sit on your skin for 1 to 2 minutes and then rinse it off with some lukewarm water.

    Turmeric

    Turmeric powder has been used from centuries as an effective remedy to lighten the various blemishes.  Mix some pure turmeric powder and rose water until it forms a thick but smooth paste. Add in some drops of freshly extracted lemon juice for more effectual treatment of blemishes. Now apply it over the blemishes and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes or until the paste is lightly dry.  Rinse off with tap water and wipe the skin dry. Regular use of this useful turmeric mixture will be helpful in providing you with the desired results.

    Coconut Milk

    The regular application of the pure coconut oil to the blemishes can really make a difference. Dip cotton balls or cotton pads into coconut oil and softly rub it against the blemishes for 3 to 5 minutes until penetrates into the pores. Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and then wash with tepid water.

    Strawberries

    Strawberries are power houses of natural ingredient. They even out the blemishes’ scars on your skin, plummeting dark marks and pigmentation. Place 3 to 5 well ripped strawberries in a medium bowl and mash them with your hand until forms smooth juicy paste. Add in 2 to 3 drops of vinegar and mix well. Apply this paste to the blemishes and leave it on for the whole night. Wash off the strawberry paste early in the morning with cold water and pat dry softly.

    Sandalwood Powder

    Sandalwood Powder is another most excellent remedy to lighten blemishes. Mix together some sandalwood powder and pure rose-water until it forms a smooth paste. Evenly apply the paste over the blemishes and leave it 15 to 20 minutes prior to rinsing it off with cold water.

    Honey

    Honey is the finest natural remedy to deal with blemishes. It not only reduces the blemishes, but moisturizes your skin perfectly. Pour some pure honey into a small bowl, warm it in microwave oven and apply it evenly over the affected skin, covering blemishes completely. Let the warm honey sit on your skin for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse off with tap water. Secondly, crush a small rinsed potato and mix it with some honey. Apply it over blemishes before washing off with cold water.

    Carrot Juice

    Carrot juice is also helpful in reducing the blemishes. Rinse the carrots properly and cut their stems. Place them in a juicer or food processor and extract their juice. Drink two glasses of it, morning and evening, everyday for more drastic results.
