How to Lighten Your Hair with Lemon Juice

It’s every girl’s dream to make her hair look the way she wanted. But not many girls can do that because of certain reasons. Firstly, chemical procedures to redo one’s hair are very expensive and secondly, such methods are very harmful for your hair.

Therefore a lot of girls prefer home-made methods to make their hair look different. If you are looking to lighten your hair with lemon juice, there is a very easy way to achieve that feat.

Things Required:

– Mix 1 cup of lemon juice with a 1/4 cup of warm water
– Put it in a spray bottle
– Spray the mixture in your hair until damp
– Expose your hair to sunshine for 30-60 minutes
– Take a shower and use a generous amount of conditioner

    Take couple of lemons and wash them before doing anything else. Now make some lemon juice by squeezing those two lemons. Once the lemons are squeezed, add it to 1 qt. water and mix it up gently. When it is mixed well, rinse your hair with it after shampooing your hair. After that, go out in the sun and sit there for 2 to 3 hours. Let the UV rays touch your hair and let the lemon juice do its magic.

    The next thing you need to do is to squeeze two more lemons but this time you got to do it directly on to your hair before you sit in the sun. It would be a nice idea to use a wide-toothed comb on your hair. This will allow the lemon juice to distribute more evenly and it will create natural highlights on your hair. After this step, you need to sit again in the sun for some time so that the lemon juice is mixed with the UV rays.

    Now take some dried chamomile flowers and mix lemon juice to it. Add honey and dried rhubarb root to help your color. This will add a yellowish effect to your hair and it will fasten the procedure of lightening up your hair to a great extent. It can also add golden tones to your hair especially if you have light-brown hair.

    If you want to create orange streaks in your hair, this method can help you a lot as well. If you have dark brown hair, you might not get as much positive result as you expected but it still will help a little. You can also use henna to add red tones.
