Public & National Holidays in Italy

Italy is one among those states that thoroughly enjoy public and national holidays. There are twelve days that are clearly declared national holidays by the Italian Government. However, the elimination of the non-religious holidays and to celebrate them during Sundays rather than usual dates is under consideration of the Government.

Most of the offices remain close during the public and national holidays in Italy, providing the employees with opportunities to spend time with their families. However, some museums of Italy remain open for specific time period and the public transport also offer limited service, keeping the citizens’ travelling issues in mind.
