How to Apply Smokey Eyeshadow

First of all choose eye shades according to your features and personality. You have to choose two colours actually, light eyeshade for the base and dark shade of the colour of the base for contouring purpose.

Now, outline your right eye with a good quality eye pencil, drawing a line around your eye. Make the line thick along your lower lid and thinner across your top lid. Repeat the same process for the left eyes.

Pick up a sponge applicator or a brush and apply the base colour to your eyelid one by one. Also, apply the base colour to the half distance between your eye and eyebrow.

Now it is the time to apply the contour the dark colour eye shadow. Gently apply the dark contour colour in a line around your eyes. Keep it in your mind that the contour colour should be thicker than your eyeliner. You can apply the shakes with your finger or a brush.

Apply the same contour colour in the crease at the top of your eyelids. Now, come to the sides of your eyes and apply dark contour to them as well.

Grab an eye shadow brush and contour the base and the dark colour until the colour above your eyes fades gradually upward.

Now, pick the bottle of good quality mascara, shake it well and apply to your eyelashes to give your eyes more attractive look. Apply the mascara in upward direction.
