The first Monday is off, but only in Inverness to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.. Furthermore, the last Monday is off in Lochaber. Furthermore, Easter holiday is variable. It is celebrated on Friday as Good Friday in Falkirk, East Dunbartonshire, Ayr, Dumfries and Galloway, Paisley, Stirling, Edinburgh, Inverclyde, Kilmarnock, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire. Additionally, it is celebrated on Monday as Easter Monday in Ayr, Edinburgh, Falkirk, East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, Inverclyde, Kilmarnock, North Lanarkshire, Paisley, Stirling, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire. -

Mondays - Spring Holiday
Different cities take Spring Holiday on Mondays. First Monday is off in Carnoustie and Monifieth area, Dundee, Fife, Scottish Borders, Inverness, Perth. Second Monday is off in Angus, expect Carnoustie and Monifieth area, Elgin. Besides, third Monday is off in Edinburgh only (if it would coincide with Easter Monday, it is move to the proceeding week). In addition, the last Monday is given off in Inverclyde. -

1st Monday - Labour Day
First Monday is off in the whole country because of Labour Day to acknowledge the efforts of all the labours around the world. Tuesday after the first Monday is off in Clydebank, Stirling as Victoria Day or Spring Holiday. Last Monday (but strictly before May 24) is off in Edinburgh as Spring Holiday or Victoria Day. Fourth Monday is off in Perth for the same holiday. Last Monday is off in Ayr, Dundee*, East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, Paisley*, South Lanarkshire. -

1st Monday - Victoria Day or Spring Holiday
First Monday is off in Galashiels, Inverclyde, Fife to celebrate Victoria Day in the honour of Queen Victoria's birthday and Spring Holiday. Tuesday and second Thursday is off in Linlithgow for Linlithgow Marches celebrations. Second Thursday is off in Lanark because of Lanimer Day. Last Monday is off in Elgin because of Fair Holiday. -

Saturday proceeding the first Monday is Fair Holiday in Edinburgh. It is related to the old fair custom which is actually held. The fist Monday is Fair Holiday in Falkirk and Inverness. Furthermore, first Friday is off in Galashiels because of Braw Lads Gathering. The second and third Monday is Fair Holiday in Aberdeen and Arbroath, Fife, East Dunbartonshire, Glasgow, North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire apart from Lanark. Fourth Friday is off in Scottish Borders as Fair Holiday while last Monday is off in Dundee as Fair Holiday. -
